About Me
I am a qualified psychotherapist having trained at WPF Therapy London. WPF Therapy is one of the principal psychotherapy training organisations in the U.K. It is accredited by the BACP and the UKCP. My qualifications include:
Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Theory & Practice (WPF Therapy)
WPF Therapy Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
B.Sc.(Hons.) Psychology and M.sc Social Work.
I am a member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical guidelines.
My work
My qualifications and training enable me to practise psychodynamic psychotherapy with adults who are experiencing emotional difficulties. Conflicts and difficulties in the present can often be related to experiences earlier in our lives. Gaining insight through exploring our early experiences can increase our understanding of ourselves and enhance our relationships.
I have experience of counselling in a variety of settings including clinical work at WPF Therapy and in the voluntary sector. I am currently working in my own practice in Richings Park and as an Associate Counsellor at the Royal Holloway, University of London where I counsel students. I work with people of different ages,gender, culture and backgound.
Prior to training as a psychotherapist I was a lecturer (and pastoral tutor) in Further Education and a Social Worker.
